The almighty power claim. There are rules for powers, as the whole series is based on powers. Read them carefully before you choose your power.
1. Please, for right now, try your best not to duplicate someone else's power. Sometimes, we can't think of many powers, but I have included a link to a list of super hero powers. The list is extensive, I'm sure you'll find a power on there that is not used in the show.
2. ONLY ONE POWER. Some characters such as Sylar and Peter have abilities that allow them to have more than one power, but they are the only ones. Try to make this as realistic as possible. Do you think a character in the show would really be able to have flight, mind control, and regeneration? No. Just pick one. This may change in due time.
3. No really unbeatable powers. That said, you can have regeneration if you'd like. I mean no powers that allow you to know everything that was ever known, or things like that. If you read a power that seems way too unfair to the rest of the powers, don't ask for it. But if you aren't sure, PM an admin before you claim it to see if it will be alright to take. You'll also notice that in the list of super powers, there will be examples of characters in fiction who has had those powers. Since Heroes is a widely watched show, someone has taken the time to write in all of the Heroes names under those powers too, so you can check to make sure a canon has it or not.
4. Choose your power wisely. Once you pick, you cannot change the power (unless you beg the head admin ). Again, I suggest you take a look at the list, even if you already have a power set in mind. If you have no idea what you want your power to be, try and answer these questions. Do you want the power to be mental? Physical? Something other people can see? Elemental? Personal? Subtle? Wild?
5. Also, don't try and alter a power just so you can have it. For example, if you wanted Matt Parkman's power, you claim that your character can only read minds, and not do the mind control part that Matt can. It doesn't matter. If you want to read minds, claim Matt Parkman, not the "power". Admins will be looking for this, so don't try to make loopholes.
6. Here is the list of powers: Click me.
Format:
Power: Character Name
Please wrap in code.
Remember, you can have duplicates, though I would ask that only two people can have the same power.
